Learn Photography to Document Your Travels

Why do you want to learn photography?

We all start somewhere. Every action stems from a thought or desire. Some people think photographers are born with a natural “eye”. While it may be true that some people’s brains are wired for creativity, we at The Camera Crush believe that anyone can learn how to take decent photos with a camera so that when you’re traveling, you can take pretty neat pictures. Why do you want to learn photography?

For me (Ling) I wanted to learn photography so I could take pictures of the places I go.

Photography can help you remember your awesome travels!

I bought my first fancy camera a couple months before my trip to Israel. I knew that this trip would be once in a lifetime, and I needed a way to remember this trip. So many people come back from a trip with crappy phone pictures, and so I knew I needed to learn how to use my camera to take neat photos. I don’t think these photos are “amazing” but it was this trip when I forced myself to shoot on Manual mode!!!

Reflecting back on the photos, this was the one image that I took that inspired me to be a documentary photographer. I just wanted to document a place as how I saw it, and this image for me totally captured it: the colors, the motion of someone mysterious walking through with sun shining down.
